About Chris
Chris Volpe is a plein air painter whose richly colored landscapes capture the beauty of New England and beyond. His work has been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the Northeast, and he is a sought-after instructor who brings both technical expertise and genuine enthusiasm to his teaching.
Chris paints primarily in oils, working both on location (plein air) and in the studio. His paintings are known for their bold use of color, confident brushwork, and ability to convey the light and atmosphere of a place. He draws inspiration from the landscapes of New Hampshire, the coast of New England, and his travels.
